A Gosport woman living with an inoperable tumour took on the London Marathon while undergoing a pioneering clinical trial, raising money for the charity behind the research that is now giving her hope.Ahead of race day, Jenny Blowers admitted she was "so nervous but really excited," adding: "All my training has brought us to this moment."In 2022, the 38-year-old mother-of-two from Gosport found what she thought was an itchy insect bite before being diagnosed with melanoma.

She fought back with treatment and surgery and was eventually given the all clear.The cancer returned in 2024 – this time inoperable.Jenny is now being treated at The Royal Marsden, where she is taking part in a clinical trial made possible through charitable funding.

The trial is exploring new forms of treatment for patients whose options would otherwise be limited.She said: "I felt like it was really important to give back to them.
