Zohran Mamdani has admitted he is unable to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu if he arrives in New York City.Mr Mamdani, the socialist mayor New York City, had previously pledged to arrest the Israeli Prime Minister if he were to visit the city for the UN General Assembly in September.The Mayor of New York City repeatedly described Mr Netanyahu as a "war criminal" throughout his campaign and said he would honour an International Criminal Court (ICC) for Mr Netanyahu's arrest in connection to alleged war crimes in Gaza.But now in a two-minute video address, New York City's first Muslim mayor has now admitted his office cannot arrest the Israeli Prime Minister.He said: "My administration has reviewed ever avenue available under applicable law to determine whether New York City could execute the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant if Benjamin Netanyahu came here."It is clear we do not have the independent legal authority to enforce this warrant."
