Labour peer Lord Glasman has called for a "much more aggressive" approach towards France after the largest migrant boat ever recorded crossed the English Channel today.

His comments came after a "mega dinghy" carrying a record 165 migrants made the journey to Britain, surpassing the previous record for the number of people on a single small boat.Speaking to GB News, Lord Glasman argued existing agreements with France had failed to stop the crossings and accused Paris of not honouring its commitments."We've got to have a much more aggressive policy towards the French government," he said."They're not keeping their word.
