Counter-terror police have launched an investigation after a suspected arson attack took place at a former synagogue in Tower Hamlets overnight.The London Fire Brigade were called to a fire on Nelson Street in the early hours of this morning.

Initial CCTV footage shows the fire may have been started deliberately.Police were called to the scene at 5:16am this morning alongside firefighters.
